Graduation 2019 took place in our school’s prestigious auditorium on Tuesday, the 24th of April 2019. There were two different batches, one being of sections A and C, while the other was of B and D. parents, sisters, brothers and friends of graduates had all come in order to them their love and support on this special day.
Our hosts for both batches were Alicia and Akindu, and Rachael and Abrar respectively. We also had some esteemed guests present among us: Mrs. Sapna Changrani, Mrs. Suzanne Rodrigues, Mrs. Samina Rizvi and Mister Frank Scarcelli.
Both ceremonies had the same proceedings as the other with a little twist of their own. Our ceremony started off with our hosts welcoming the guests followed by the national anthem and a speech from our head of school.
We then had our teachers light up the lamp which would then light up the candles present in our graduates’ palms as the ceremonial walk took place. After the graduates had all taken their positions on stage, they went on to perform a song dedicated to their journey; Just Hold On was sung melodiously by the classes A and C while This is Me was sung with passion by the classes B and D. the second batch however had a special performance by Megan Shariff who sang Rise Up which enthralled our guests.

A farewell speech was addressed by Tharuka Arukgoda and Hannah Liz Thomas, and Mihir Shaik and Zahra Riyas respectively, which looked back upon their path of success as they cherished all of their best moments that made their life at school much more special. this was followed by the distribution of certificates where each graduate got up on stage and were cheered on while accepting their distinction of success.
Last but not the least, our head boy, Abhishek Krishnan and our head girl, Samriddhi Bhatia had a few last words to stay. Their speeches almost got everyone to tears, but left them with great remembrance of their time at Dubai Scholars that they would look back upon in the years to come. As the speech came to an end, the graduates got off their seats and on the count of three, threw their hats in the air bringing their wonderful journey at school to an end.
